Easy Honey Cinnamon Butter Recipe for Sweet Rolls and More

Honey Cinnamon Butter Recipe

This past weekend we celebrated a family member’s birthday by having dinner at home. I had wanted to make fresh dinner rolls to have with our dinner and I wanted to make a honey cinnamon butter to go with the rolls that is a knock off from a famous restaurant and I found the recipe on the website. This butter is also incredible on a slice of warm, super soft and easy banana bread. I made a double recipe of this because I didn’t know how many people that I was going to be serving for dinner so I am going to just give you the measurements for one recipe and you’ll also be able to find that written out.

Mixing honey cinnamon butter preparation

Instructions

  1. First of all add a quarter of a cup or 25 grams of confectioners powdered or icing sugar to a deep mixing bowl.
  2. Then add one stick of softened salted butter which is a half a cup or 113 grams to the powdered sugar.
  3. Then start mixing on low speed with a hand mixer or even a stand mixer or by hand.
  4. Then increase the speed to high speed once it starts incorporating. This whipping technique is also key for creating light and fluffy textures in desserts like easy soft and chewy oatmeal cookies.
  5. And then I just mixed it on high speed for a long time to get it whipped and have a lot of air into it. For more advice on achieving a smooth texture in your baked goods, check out these easy tips for perfect buttercream frosting.
  6. Then I put it into two containers with tight fitting lids and put it into the refrigerator to keep it until we had dinner.

Cooking Tips

I didn’t really measure the cinnamon or the honey I just kept on adding and tasting until it was the way that I wanted it to taste.

So I whipped it with the hand mixer maybe a minute or two.

I’m pretty sure that this will keep a long time as long as you store it in the refrigerator and I haven’t tried it yet but this would probably freeze really well.

Serving Suggestions

This would also be really good put on a baked sweet potato or steamed carrots or even mashed sweet potatoes. For another warm and comforting treat, consider serving this butter with easy baked apples with pecans and warm spices.

So there you have honey cinnamon butter inspired by a popular restaurant here in the United States. And here are the finished rolls. They turned out really well and I won’t tell you how many I ate.
